Sir Shash

An Indian traveller, diarist and incurable collector of stories, Sir Shash finds himself in an unusual corner of another timeline where the worlds of P. G. Wodehouse, Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie and others occasionally overlap. He is Bertie Wooster’s oldest friend, Bobbie Wickham’s steadfast confidant and, more often than not, the unfortunate soul attempting to keep everyone else out of trouble.
His journals are filled with mystery, humour, travel and quiet moments of reflection. They also speak honestly of living with epilepsy and sleep paralysis, experiences that have taught him the value of courage, kindness and the extraordinary comfort of those who simply choose to stay.
Bertie Wooster
Bertie remains exactly as generations of readers have loved him: unfailingly decent, endlessly optimistic and possessed of a remarkable talent for finding himself in impossible situations without the faintest idea how he got there.
In this timeline, however, fate has finally smiled upon him. He and Bobbie Wickham have found the happiness that seemed forever just beyond reach, though matrimony has done very little to reduce the number of adventures that somehow gather around him.

Bobbie Wickham moved into Berkeley Mansions. Jeeves adjusted.
There was no engagement announcement, no carefully managed courtship, and no dramatic proposal beneath the stars. She simply arrived with her luggage. The wedding, everyone agreed, would happen in due course. As far as Bertie and Bobbie were concerned, they were already home.
London, naturally, considered this a matter of national importance.
The newspapers discovered a scandal. Society discovered something to gossip about. Respectable drawing rooms debated the decline of standards, while the Drones Club regarded the whole affair with cheerful approval and only the mildest surprise. Rumour travelled faster than fact, as it generally does.
Yet for many, especially the younger generation, there was something unexpectedly hopeful about it. England’s most celebrated bachelor had finally stopped drifting and, without fanfare or flourish, had chosen the person he wished to share his life with.
Everything else follows from that single decision.
